Nuji and Klarna-inspired fashion ecommerce discovery world

The ambition

Make the web’s fragmented product catalogue discoverable.

Nuji brought fashion, lifestyle and home products from across the web into one social marketplace. People curated products into profiles and followed others whose taste they trusted.

Discovery

Turn taste into the interface.

Instead of forcing discovery through a conventional store hierarchy, the product used curation and following to help people find products through people whose taste they valued.

Scale

Build a catalogue that could keep expanding.

The product model joined millions of items from thousands of designers into a structure that supported search, editorial curation, social discovery and outbound retail journeys.

Outcome

From product discovery to acquisition.

The catalogue reached 5m+ items across 10,000 designers. In May 2020, Klarna acquired the team, platform and technology.
